Glenwood Forest Trails.
The Glenwood State Forest trails are built and maintained by the Orange Mountain Bike Club in partnership with Forestry Corporation of NSW, with grant funding from the NSW Office of Sport.
With over 400m of elevation difference to its highest point and amazing natural features, there are a variety of trails to suit everyone from beginner to advanced riders as well walkers and adaptive mountain bikes. Galinbundinya, Onwards & Upwards and Trail of Awesomeness form a 20km loop taking in great views of Boree Creek and Federal Falls, with more advanced options in between.
Please be aware Glenwood is a working pine forest, observe the forestry operations map on the trail head sign, stay out of exclusion zones, watch out for forestry vehicles and if driving around only use the designated shuttle routes.
From Monday 10 June 2025, Forestry Corporation will commence harvesting operations in the northern block:
The Bottom Trailhead (Boree & Cargo Rd) and lower sections of Trail of Awesomeness & Galinbundinya will be closed. Access is still available from Mitchell's Way.
Upper Galinbundinya and all downhill trails are open.
Operations are expected to last approximately 3 months, depending on weather conditions. Please respect the signage and exclusion zones - they are there for your safety.
